Is every family member eligible under the current dependency rules?
Citizenship Planning
A second citizenship planned for the whole family story.
Citizenship can affect identity, family security, disclosure, succession, travel and long-term optionality. It deserves a wider decision framework than an investment threshold or visa-free list.
MAYA GROUP compares established Caribbean programs and selected routes in Türkiye, Vanuatu and São Tomé and Príncipe through due diligence, capital outcome, family fit and present-day travel reality.

Program destinations
Eight jurisdictions. Eight different planning contexts.
Every page reflects current public program information and the issues that need verification before engagement. None is an offer, guarantee or substitute for authorised advice.

The Maya planning lens
Utility should survive after the sales claims are removed.
A credible plan still makes sense after fixed timelines, guaranteed access, tax shortcuts and assumed investment returns are removed. The remaining answer should connect to the family's genuine objectives.
Four questions to answer
Can every material fact and source of funds withstand government due diligence?
Does the contribution or investment make sense as a capital decision?
Would the citizenship still be useful if external travel arrangements changed?
From eligibility to long-term use
Three workstreams that keep the decision connected.
Family and nationality planning
Map dependants, existing citizenships, consent, inheritance and the legal consequences of holding more than one nationality.
Due diligence and authorised process
Prepare source-of-funds and background evidence, then coordinate only through the locally authorised structure required by the program.
Capital and post-approval continuity
Review the full contribution or asset outcome, holding duties, passports, renewals and any connected banking, education or relocation needs.
Frequently asked questions
Start with the questions marketing often leaves out.
Answers are general and must be checked against current government rules, authorised-agent requirements and the applicant's circumstances.
Citizenship is a legal status granted by a sovereign government after eligibility and due diligence review. A responsible plan considers family eligibility, source of funds, nationality law, tax and disclosure implications, capital outcome, genuine connection and changing travel rights—not a passport as a commodity.
No. Many programs require applications and marketing to pass through government-authorised local agents or licensed structures. MAYA GROUP can coordinate planning and the wider client journey, but its filing role must always reflect the authorised relationship in place for that destination.
No. Visa waivers and entry arrangements are controlled by destination governments and can change at any time. They should never be treated as permanent or guaranteed.
It means an asset is eligible within a program under current rules. It does not guarantee construction, title quality, income, financing, liquidity, resale value or investment return. Independent legal and commercial due diligence remains essential.
Programs define spouses, children, parents and other dependants differently, with age, dependency, education, consent and background requirements. Family composition should be tested before a route is selected.
Not usually. Citizenship, residence, domicile and tax residence are separate concepts. Independent tax advice should consider where the family lives, spends time, owns assets and earns income.
Private citizenship comparison
Begin with the family, not the destination shortlist.
Tell us who the plan needs to include, the nationalities already held, the capital outcome you prefer and the long-term reason for considering citizenship. MAYA GROUP will use that context to frame the right first review.
