Canada's online management system for the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Eligible candidates enter a pool and are ranked under the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Entering the Express Entry pool does not guarantee an invitation to apply.
Provincial streams, allocations and occupation priorities can open, pause or change independently.
A qualifying job offer may still matter to program eligibility even though job-offer CRS points were removed in March 2025.
The former Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is closed; current community options must be checked by name and location.

No. Express Entry is an application-management system for three federal economic programs. Candidates must first be eligible, then receive an invitation before submitting a permanent-residence application.
Not for every route. Some pathways do not require one, while Atlantic and community programs depend on qualifying employment. The value of a job offer depends on the exact program.
Provincial processes vary. Some streams invite candidates from Express Entry, while others use separate expressions of interest or application processes and may have employer or local-connection requirements.
